  • ONLY FUTURES

The majority of retail futures traders would say that they’re being held back in their career by a lack of trading capital. This is an issue for traders in all markets from forex to futures and really stops traders going from hobby traders to full time career traders. That’s where prop firms come in…

In this article we are looking at Uprofit Trader, a U.S based futures prop firm offering funding of up to $100,000 to traders for just $315 per month in fees. Sounds like a no brainer right? Well, let’s find out more…

Who Are Uprofit Trader?

Uprofit Trader is a futures focused prop firm based out of Texas, United States. They have one of the best reputations in the world for providing huge levels of support and funding to traders looking to advance their trading careers and take on additional capital. With a very simple 1-step verification program and funding up to $100,000, is this the scaling option for you?

Getting Funding From Uprofit Trader

Uprofit Trader funding works in a very simple way – in fact much more simple than most other prop firms in the industry. It all begins with a very simple 1-step verification program, where you will be trading on a simulated account to prove your profitability within the markets. This comes with a very simple set of rules and criteria that you’ll need to abide by, in regard to a profit target, instruments, drawdown and maximum loss. The challenge/verification will take a minimum of 10 days and has no time limit, so take it at your own pace!

The funding offered by Uprofit Trader ranges from $25,000, which will cost you $145 monthly, all the way to $100,000 which will set you back around $315 monthly. Comparative to other firms, this is very reasonable price wise and could certainly be a great option for futures traders looking to scale their capital.

$25,000 Funding

With the $25,000 account size, you’ll have a target to reach of $1500. The maximum contracts you’re allowed open is 3, with a maximum daily loss of $500 and a total drawdown limit of $1250. This is frankly extremely achievable and shouldn’t be a problem for profitable traders.

$50,000 Funding

The $50,000 account size is going to cost you $160 monthly, which is only $15 monthly more than the $25,000 account so I’d recommend starting at $50,000 minimum. You’ll have a profit target of $2500, a maximum contracts size of 6, a daily loss limit of $1100 and a maximum drawdown of $2000.

$75,000 Funding

The $75,000 account size is great value for money and will cost $245 monthly. You’ll be trading with a profit target of $4250, a maximum of 8 open contracts, $2500 total drawdown and a daily loss limit of $1600. Again I believe this should be no problem for profitable futures traders and they should be able to walk through this with absolutely no issues, providing the market conditions are favourable.

$100,000 Funding

The $100,000 account size is again great value for money, coming in at just $315 monthly. When you think about the potential profits you could make if you’re able to consistently bring in a few percent per month trading, the cost is negligible. You’ll have a maximum of 12 contracts allowed, $6000 profit target with a maximum daily loss of $2200 and a maximum total drawdown of $3000.

Is Getting Funding From Uprofit Trader Realistic?

When it comes to taking on capital or additional funding as a trader, it’s extremely important to look at how realistic the funding actually is. Some of the challenges and rules being placed upon traders by some of the companies in our Top Prop Firms listOpens in a new tab.

There is a one step verification challenge from Uprofit Trader and if you pass that, you have your funding! The rules are fairly simple…

What’s also very interesting is the fact that according to the rules listed on Uprofit Traders website, you’re able to reset your account for just $99 if you happen to violate the drawdown rules – which other companies on our Top Prop Firm ListOpens in a new tab.

Along with the cheap account resets and there not being a maximum time duration on the challenge accounts, the profit targets are also very low at around just 5-6% (depending on which funding you choose), which makes it very achievable for the majority of futures traders.

The 2.2% daily loss limit is much lower than some companies like Lux Trading FirmOpens in a new tab.

The ‘no maximum trading days’ is absolutely perfect – making it very easy to pass compared to prop firm challenges where you’re stuck with maybe 30 days (20 of which are actually trading days). The lower trading day limit usually forces traders into risking too much, taking below grade setups and therefore losing their shirt – whereas with a nice unlimited time duration you can stick to high quality trades and take your time.

Uprofit Trader Reviews – What Are Traders Saying?

Without a doubt, one of the best ways to gauge how honest and respectable a prop firm is, is through looking at reviews from a huge amount of traders. There have been instances previously where I have had absolutely no issues with a forex broker, then found that I was just one of the lucky few that got paid out and had to withdraw all of my funds – we want to avoid this happening!
