City Traders Imperium Full Review – Pros, Cons, My Experience

City Traders Imperium

  • FUNDING UP TO $2,000,000

With so many prop firms coming into the industry and promising traders a huge amount of capital ranging from $20,000 to $3,000,000, it can be fairly hard to distinguish the good from the bad and really figure out which funding options are best for you as a trader.

In this article we are going to be reviewing City Traders Imperium, a highly rated prop firm based in London. CTI has funded traders all over the world in the last few years and offers an interesting approach to providing funding for forex traders, unseen by some of the others leading the industry. Let’s break this firm down in more detail…

Who Are City Traders Imperium?

City Traders ImperiumOpens in a new tab. are a London based prop firm, offering funding for forex traders ranging between $20,000 and $70,000, scaling all of the way up to $2,000,000 in capital. The company was founded by Daniel Martin and Martin Najat, two traders that realised the majority of U.K based prop firms were just selling a pipe dream, alongside education and there was a huge gap in the market for a legitimate funding option.

CTI offers one of the best scaling programs and education offerings in the industry, which is why it is currently one of the best rated prop firmsOpens in a new tab., certainly to come out of the U.K.

If you’re looking to take on additional funding for your forex trading, take larger profits out of the market and take the step to becoming a professional trader this firm might be the one for you! Let’s find out more…

Getting Funding From CTI

City Traders Imperium does funding a bit differently from other firms like 5%ersOpens in a new tab. for example. They offer funded accounts starting at $20,000, moving up to $70,000. Like most firms, they have a funding challenge but when you purchase an account, you actually receive 1/4 of the funding instantly! Instant funding is a great way to get started, as you don’t have to spend months on a demo account.

The rules are very simple, which makes it easy to stay on track with your evaluation. The process will look something like this, on a $70,000 account…

  1. You purchase the $70,000 funded account for £550.
  2. You will be given a $17,500 funded account to pass your evaluation with.
  3. Within the space of 1 year, with 1:100 leverage, you need to reach a profit target of $1,225 on the account. You will be able to risk $263 per trade to do this, have a maximum drawdown of $700 and receive a profit split of 50% once the target is hit.
  4. If successful, you will now have $70,000 in funding.
  5. Every 10% made, you will have a huge capital increase by the company.

The scaling potential with CTIOpens in a new tab. is absolutely huge compared to most other firms. You will essentially need to make a 60% gain on your trading capital, in order to receive $2,000,000 in funding. This is an absolute no brainer for profitable forex traders able to get consistent results.

Payment Proof – A Withdrawal From City Traders Imperium

When you’re choosing a prop firm it’s very important to work with a company that is paying traders fairly and on time. Although I don’t have a large withdrawal to show from the company, this is my most recent withdrawal from CTI which I took in September of 2021. I took the withdrawal through Paypal and it was paid automatically without me actually having to request it on that date – which is very handy for traders!

If you are looking to see larger payment proofs you will be able to find these on the forums and on TrustpilotOpens in a new tab..

What Makes City Traders Imperium Different From Other Prop Firms?

City Traders Imperium is different from most of the industry leading prop firmsOpens in a new tab. because of the evaluation phase lasting up to 1 year. This is absolutely huge compared to the likes of FTMOOpens in a new tab. for example where you have essentially 20 trading days to pass the challenge.

The huge maximum duration of the challenge means that position traders, swing traders and day traders are actually given a chance to get a good level of funding, rather than just intraday traders.

The other selling point that sets CTI apart from other prop firms is the level of educational content they provide to traders. Rather than just offering a few blog posts and news updates on NFP, they offer an in-depth course along with psychology sessions to increase your profitable and edge in the market over the long term.

The cost of the funding accounts offered by CTI are really quite reasonable and certainly not on the high end in the industry. They are also one time payments, instead of recurring monthly payments like Funding TalentOpens in a new tab. offers.

Is Getting CTI Funding Realistic?

No matter how much capital a prop firm can offer you and what kind of profit split they dangle in front of you, unless getting this funding is realistic, there is absolutely no benefit to us. So, we need to look at whether the conditions make hitting the targets attainable.

City Traders offer, in my opinion, the easiest trading requirements in the industry, compared to the other top playersOpens in a new tab.. This is primarily down to the fact you have 1:100 leverage, a maximum risk of 1.5% per trade and a year to complete the evaluation stage! A YEAR! This makes the challenge attainable for swing traders, day traders, scalpers, intra day traders and another other kind of forex retail traders!

Not only do you have a huge amount of time, if you happen to make a mistake like using the wrong lot size or going slightly over you’re allowed risk, CTI will not instantly disqualify you – your profit from the trade is just void and not counted towards your target milestone.

Don’t take this the wrong way but if you can’t get funding from CTIOpens in a new tab., you’re not going to be able to get funding from any other prop firms. The only ‘easier’ prop firms are MyForexFundsOpens in a new tab. and DT4X TraderOpens in a new tab. as they offer instant funding!

City Traders Imperium Reviews – What Are Traders Saying?

The public opinion of a prop firm is a great way to see whether or not you should be looking to obtain funding from this company. If you’ve seen the rest of our Best Prop Firm ListOpens in a new tab., you’ll know that using public reviews has saved our skin a number of times! Although I may be treated in certain way, other traders may have a completely different experience so having much more data to work with is always a plus when doing due diligence.

CTI have an excellent rating on TrustpilotOpens in a new tab. with over 175 reviews, 89% of which are excellent. This is extremely impressive and great to see as other traders are also thrilled with the service the company is offering.

From scanning over the reviews, the prop firm functions great, the trading conditions are perfect and the support team is frequently going above and beyond to provide assistance in any way they can – a great company to be trading with!

Education & Support For Traders

Education and support for traders is something that a lot of retail traders are looking for from a prop firm, not just capital thrown their way. Trading with someone else’s money is a greatly challenging experience mentally and having mentorship during this process can be extremely beneficial.

CTI offers a Golden Traders mentorship programOpens in a new tab., full of educational content to help better traders analysis, planning, execution, risk management and most importantly psychology.

As well as the mentorship offered, they are also offering psychology consultations to improve your mental edge in the markets, which could be extremely beneficial to traders. I know that FTMOOpens in a new tab. and Lux Trading FirmOpens in a new tab. are also offering a psychology consultation like this for funded traders but CTI appears to offer a much more detailed experience.

Personally, I think if you’re still at the stage where you are needing a large amount of education to get profitable in the forex markets then perhaps it’s too early to be looking at taking on additional trading capital. There are loads of great free resources out there like BabyPipsOpens in a new tab. that can help you scale your knowledge, implement a trading plan and eventually reach consistency.

The CTI team actually teach a few different strategies that are said to have a huge success rate. Now I cannot personally verify the win rate of these strategies as I haven’t purchased them myself. However, there is a huge amount of information being offered to traders from fund managers with backgrounds in the forex markets, as retail traders. There’s certainly a huge amount of value here for traders!

Conclusion – Is City Traders Imperium A Scam?

In short, CTI is not a scam and has one of the best prop firmOpens in a new tab. offerings in the industry. With a scaling plan up to $2,000,000, one time payments, a 50% profit share, relaxed rules, 1:100 leverage and a year to complete the evaluation period it’s clear to see why the company has a flawless reputation with traders around the world.

If you’re reaching consistency or looking to take on additional capital I genuinely could not recommend trading with CTIOpens in a new tab. enough. This firm is literally offering us the chance to net 60% profit on their capital, then fund us with $2,000,000. If we manage to reach that point, our 10% milestone payout would be worth $100,000!

If you have any experience with City Traders Imperium I would love to hear about it in the comments below!
